In my work I am exploring memory and the feeling of wanting to hold onto or preserve a person, a place, or a time in your life. I am interested in the feeling of loss and absence that comes with this and so I also look into grief or the loss of not only memory, but also the loss of or letting go of, loved ones or things/ objects from our pasts. A lot of my work is also made around a wider theme of identity and the ways that memories are essential to it, I like the idea that although we feel the need to try to preserve memories, it is also inevitable for us as human beings to change and grow out of them too.
